Auction of Promises - June 2021
I have donated my framed watercolour painting ‘Bluebell Glade II’ to the Auction of Promises being held by leading auction house Sworders at the end of June, to raise funds for the Beds & Herts Historic Churches Trust.
I am pleased to report that the painting attracted 17 bids and sold for £600. The overall amount raised was £11,300 for the Beds & Herts Historic Churches Trust.
In a separate auction to raise money for St Mary’s Church, Therfield, my donated painting ‘Primroses’ raised £200.

Competition Win
I am delighted to have been announced as the winner of Painters Online’s October calendar challenge.
This year their 2020 calendar, produced in partnership with Art Safari, includes a monthly painting or drawing challenge with the chance to win £40 of art materials vouchers from Winsor & Newton every month. For October artists were invited to paint a sunrise or sunset.

“I am pleased for this painting as it was a beautiful subject and I very much enjoyed doing it. In fact, I painted it 3 times in a different mixture of media.
